New York Department of Health finds mixed results with state infection rates

The New York State Department of Health released hospital infection data, with good and bad news for the state’s healthcare facilities, the Business Review reports.

This first annual report determined that New York hospitals had lower central-line infection rates than hospitals in other states in both pediatric and coronary intensive care units, but surgical intensive care unit infection rates were worse than the national average.
