Accreditation Connection, May 30, 2008
Consumers Union, the nonprofit organization which publishes Consumer Reports, is set to join the fray of online healthcare consumer ratings information with the launch of a hospital-rating service, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The organization currently provides assessments for health insurance plans, medications, and treatments. The new services will be available online and rate some 3,000 hospitals nationwide. Ratings will include intensity of treatment, handling of serious conditions, and more.
