AMA highlights support for e-prescribing

The American Medical Association met recently with stakeholders at the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC, to outline key steps for advancing the adoption of e-prescribing.
The organization took aim at key barriers to encouraging use of e-prescribing among physicians. AMA representatives also discussed e-prescribing and its place in the advancing world of healthcare. The organization supports the establishment of a national structure for e-prescribing, such as a uniform set of standards.
