Facility looks to regain funding by addressing patient falls and other risks

Broughton Hospital, a mental health facility based in Morganton, NC, hopes to regain federal funding by addressing policies on patient falls, infection control, and clinical supervision, the Charlotte Observer reports.

The facility lost Medicaid and Medicare funding in August 2007 following one patient death and another injury. Additional cuts were made in state aid.
