Arizona health group appeals preliminary denial of accreditation

Maricopa Integrated Health System of Phoenix, AZ, is appealing a decision by The Joint Commission to issue the system a preliminary denial of accreditation, according to the Arizona Republic.
The health system received 22 RFIs during The Joint Commission's last survey. Maricopa officials disagreed with a number of the findings and have appealed five RFIs in the hopes of raising its status at least to conditional accreditation.
