Joint Commission accepting comments on Documentation of Care for SII
Accreditation Connection, February 15, 2008
The Joint Commission has posted proposed revisions to additional chapters for field review for its Standard Improvement Initiative (SII).
The Documentation of Care chapter was posted for review on February 13 for a six-week review period for hospitals, ambulatory, critical access hospitals, and office-bases surgery. Previously, Transplantation Safety (hospitals, ambulatory, critical access hospitals, home care, and office-bases surgery, February 8), Waived Testing (hospitals, ambulatory, home care, and office-bases surgery February 5), and Equipment Management (home care only, January 30) had been opened for similar review. The review period for these chapters is still open.
The proposed revisions can be viewed on The Joint Commission's Web site here.
