It is interesting to note that the rule published in the November 2007 Federal Register about the hospital outpatient prospective payment system (OPPS) contained a revision to the hospital Conditions of Participation (CoP). This changes the revision to the federal law that became effective in January 2007, but only as it relates to history and physical (H&P) and postanesthesia evaluations.
