HFAP receives renewed deeming authority from CMS

The Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) of the American Osteopathic Assocation has received approval from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) as a deeming authority for critical access hospitals through 2013.
HFAP is one of only two voluntary accreditation organizations authorized by CMS to survey these facilities in the U.S.
