Accreditation Connection, November 16, 2007
Methodist Hospital, which is currently competing with Kaiser Permanente for designation as a Level II trauma center in south Sacramento, remains on conditional Joint Commission accreditation status, reports the Sacramento Business Journal. Hospital officials believe they have repaired eight problems cited by The Joint Commission during their most recent survey.
Among the areas cited in the survey were the writing and transcription of medication orders, a commonly cited issue among hospitals surveyed in 2007.
