Phase III Stark delayed
Accreditation Connection, November 16, 2007
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) published on November 15 a final rule which will delay limits on compensation arrangements physician organizations are allowed to have with academic medical centers and nonprofit integrated healthcare systems.
Originally these limits were included in the Phase III Stark rules set to go into effect on December 4, 2007. Instead, they have been pushed back until Dec. 4, 2008.
